Three Nut Variations

Everyone loves to snack on nuts. Try salty, roasted pecans tossed with soy sauce, or buttered walnuts coated with a cinnamon, nutmeg, and clove sugar, or golden, salted almonds roasted in a touch of olive oil. All are easy to make.

Chinese Pecans

INGREDIENTS

1Tbutter
1cpecan halves
1Tsoy sauce
¼tsalt
¼twhite pepper

STEPS

  1. Melt butter in small baking dish. Toss pecans with the butter.
  2. Bake at 300° F for 30 mins. Sprinkle with soy sauce, salt, and pepper. Cool.

Italian Almonds

salt and cayenne pepper

Spiced Walnuts

½cpowdered sugar
1tcinnamon
1tnutmeg
1tcloves

STEPS

  1. Melt butter in skillet. Add walnuts. Cook over low heat for 20 mins or until evenly browned.
  2. Combine sugar with the spices. Toss nuts in the sugar until coated.
